PERSONALITY:
Miko is a natural born leader, she is both social and observant. She has a way of relating that is relaxing and easy going, coming across as very casual and with a good sense of humor. She likes to joke quite a bit and may seem like the sort who isn't ever serious, though she is perfectly capable of being so. When she is serious she strikes quite the presence, not so much an intimidating force, but rather awe inspiring. She exudes the aura of a "Prince", and has all the skills to play in politics with the best and worst.

Even though Miko is a member of a powerful and influential family she can't help but become involved in the affairs of communities, especially at the bottom. One might call her a busiboddy for it. And though she will be the first to tell you she's not especially interested at being in charge of anything, she will be quick to offer herself to take over administrations of things she feels are falling flat. Basically, if she feels someone is doing it wrong she will intervene to do it "right."

She is the type who would say "If there are no volunteers I'll do it until someone qualified comes along". But really in the end she would turn it into her own thing before relinquishing it. That is not to say her intentions aren't good, she does wish to help people and improve their lives. But she has a very large ego and tends to operate under the assumption she is the most correct. The fact that she generally always gets what she wants doesn't help this. But her family and way of life has never contradicted this thought, so she doesn't know much else.

Miko is also very ambitious, despite being quite successful in her own right, she harbors ambitions of going further. Or, at least she did. She had the desire to become the supreme authority in Japan, and potentially the world, but grew out of it with time. After her powers came to be though she has started to wonder if she could be come a god. After all omega mutants had been worshiped as gods before, what could stop her trying the same? But most of these ambitions are only thought experiments, and the idea of actually working towards them a distant future.

Despite Miko's large sense of self importance, and high ambitions she is a good person. Her reasons for action are generally for the good of the people, and though many of the things she does can be called selfish, she does them with a selflessness in mind. (They are selfish by the fact they gain her attention and admiration which she enjoys. They are selfless in that the attention she gains isn't her sole reason for going forward.) She truly does wish for the improvement of others, and for working order and the health of the people. But one can say both things feed into each other and either way she gains.

However, she is very much a "for the good of the many" type of person. If people need to be sacrificed for the good of the whole, she will do it. She will manipulate the system and people to get everything just right, and sees nothing wrong with it. After all, it is for the greater good. Of course she believes that her own opinions and thoughts on the matter are also what is best for everyone.

As expected of a politician she is very charismatic and easy to get along with, she doesn't so much coerce people as they get swept up in her personality and become her followers. She is like a magnet that pulls people to her without even trying.

POWERS/ABILITIES:
Miko's mutant ability is that of enhanced senses, specifically that of enhanced hearing. Her hearing is so refined that she can hear just about anything from anywhere, though she has little control over what she hears and how much. Due to this she has a special device that appear as noise canceling headphones to help her focus. The other aspect of her hearing is that she can follow multiple conversations at the same time, without missing a single word. She has had at least ten conversations at a single time.

Her hearing along with her rather incredible observational abilities makes her come across as if she were pysicic, being able to hear the "desires" of a person. Of course she can't read minds, but the combination comes very close. In some cases she may know more about a person than they know about themselves due to this.

Besides her mutant abilities she is quite the human specimen for all other aspects. She is athletically agile, and fit, her intellect is on a genius level, and she has charisma that is hard to ignore. Some could even say she was an example of a "perfect person", or at least close. Of course when it came to physical abilities she was still restricted by what a healthy human being was capable of, as she has no mutations to aid her physical body.

Of course her major weakness, beyond her own egotism, is her sensitive hearing. Without her headphones the world becomes deafening, and near impossible to concentrate on anything. It brings great pain and stress. She can be alright in a quiet room far from others if she focuses, or in a sound proof room, but even a noisy cafeteria would bring her to her knees without protection.

AU HISTORY:
Miko was born to a rather prestigious family, with branches in both politics and business there was little the Toyosatomimi family didn't have their hands involved in. This went from parliament members to high end research and development firms, to aristocratic families descended from the royal line. She was born into an empire and much was expected, in that she didn't disappoint.

Her father, an incredibly successful person in his own right, deemed to raise her as if she were his son, so as not to harbor "weakness". Due to this her education was vary male focused, and she became known as "Prince."

At a young age she showed signs of being special, her IQ was off the scale and she advanced through school quickly, graduating early and even going to college. She made important decisions on important events within her families companies, as well as founded a few projects of her own. When her mutant abilities manifested themselves they were only seen as a boon than a shameful secret to hide. It was like the gods themselves were blessing her with divine right to succeed! Her family went from treating her as the prodigy to treating her as if she were a living god. At this point she was practically the head in all but name.

Due to the nature of her power it was difficult at first for her to function, but she was able to design a device to help her filter and manage the sounds, and had it produced within one of her families many facilities. It was a little after this she started to become board. Being able to tell what people were feeling and thinking and wanting through simply listening to them made getting what she wanted easy. Her goals started to shift to the point where she wasn't sure exactly what she wanted, but simply taking over as the head of her family wasn't interesting enough anymore. It was then that she looked more into those with mutant powers and learned of the Xavier Institute. Deciding it would be in her best interest to be around other mutants, which she had had little contact with so far, and experience a proper "high school life" she requested to join the school as a senior, the grade her age would put her in. Perhaps too with proper training she could figure out how to lose her headphones and be unencumbered by them.
